The Cavendish
The story of Cavendish
A pioneer of lawn tennis, Henry Jones (known as Cavendish), lends his name to a restaurant within No.1 Court. The Cavendish provides a relaxed public dining offering during The Championships.
HighSpirit worked with illustrations sourced from the Wimbledon archives to tell the story of Cavendish across the restaurant; from his role in introducing lawn tennis to the then All England Croquet Club, through to his introduction of the ladies’ singles event.
